St. John’s Academy advising support service is given by a team of advisors from Student Service Department who are well-experienced in student academic and career planning. Student Services Department can give good advising support for students of any background for course planning, university selection, and campus life. The advisors are well-connected to local help centers and can refer students to professional services if it is determined to be necessary.
Mr. Bruce Schei – Chief Advisor
The current Head of Student Services Department, Mr. Schei is also a teacher who assists St. John’s Academy’s principal. His primary focus is to ensure that every student leaves his office with a sense of confidence and satisfaction after an advising session. Mr. Schei is responsible for Extra University Application Service (EUAS) program, which helps International or Domestic students to apply for Universities and Post Secondary Institutions.
Ms. Elaine Kuo – Resident Advisor
Elaine Kuo is the current registrar and student advisor at St. John’s Academy. In her role, she helps students with official documents such as study permits and Medical Services Plans, as well as course registration. She is passionate about helping students identify their study goals and overcoming academic or emotional challenges. Elaine is currently completing a Master of Education degree in Counselling Psychology at the University of British Columbia to provide the students with better service.
