All international students are required to enroll in the Medical Services Plan (MSP) provided by Health Insurance BC. Newly arrived students are eligible for coverage after completing a waiting period of 30-90 days. During this waiting period, students should purchase private health insurance instead. Students with no medical insurance or invalid coverage will not be permitted to attend class.
On September 1, 2019, international students will be assessed a BC health-care coverage fee of $37.50 per month, which will change to $75.00 per month on January 1, 2020.
