Each contest is graded out of 150 marks and the level of difficulty is such that very few students score above 140! Generally, a mark over 80 is considered good, and anything over 100 very good.
Abimbola was our top grade 9 student with Makayla not far behind. Nima earned a medal as our top grade 10 contestant with Peter only a couple of points behind. Eniola earned the top student medal for grade 11 with Kali in second spot. The St. John’s community should be proud of these exceptional students.
Students planning on studying STEM subjects (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) are well advised to study for and sit these contests as the Universities take the results into account for entrance and scholarships. There will be practice contests and coaching sessions in the fall.
